MAXIMUM BIDS: Max bids are placed in lieu of consistent bids and should be used to temper your purchasing or help you follow the auction easier. Max bids are not an outright bid, but a slow raise of the bidding in predetermined increments to meet the most you and another bidder are willing to pay to win the lot. For example Bidder A bids on a lot of brooches for 10.00 but you (Bidder B) would be willing to pay 30.00. You place 30.00 as your max bid, but the bid shows that you are now winning the lot at 12.00. If no counter-bid is made, you have won the lot at 12.00.However, if Bidder A would be willing to up their bid, it will push into your Max Bid and increase by 2.00 per counter-bid. You will continue to win the lot as long as Bidder A does not exceed your Max Bid. If Bidder A bids over 30.00, you will need to let the item go or reenter a higher Max Bid. BIDDER AGREEMENT: By registering and entering bids, you agree to pay the amount bid or pay the max bids on all lots in the catalog of the auction you registered for. In addition, you promise to assume liability of any damage to property you may create while on premises.
