Bidder Terms for Laywell Auction Services Online Auctions
Sales Tax Calculation: Sales tax will be automatically computed during checkout based on various factors including the state, city, and county jurisdiction requirements, as well as the shipping address, shipping origin, and category of the purchased item.
Internet Premium: A 10% buyers premium will be applied to all winning bids.
Participation Requirements: Valid Credit Card: To participate in bidding, a valid credit card is required for approval.
Payment Options: Accepted payment options include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Payment Instructions: After the auction concludes, buyers will automatically be charged for the items one plus applicable taxes and buyers premiums.
Wire Transfer Requirement: Laywell Auction Services reserves the right to request a wire transfer for any applicable transactions.
Sales Tax Exemption: Buyers with a Tax ID number registered with Laywell Auction Services through Hibid may be exempt from sales tax. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure their Tax ID number is provided during registration.
Payment Processing and Declined Cards: Credit cards registered with Hibid at the time of auction registration will be charged within 24 hours following the auction for total purchases, excluding shipping. Laywell Auction Services does not accept cash, checks, PayPal, or any alternative forms of payment. Any cards declined for any reason will incur a $10.00 fee.
Shipping Instructions: All online auctions are pick-up only.
Item Removal and Abandonment: Buyers are responsible for the removal of purchased items during the designated pickup times. Failure to pick up items or arrange shipping by the specified removal date may result in forfeiture of the items and additional fees. Laywell Auction Services will not be liable for any items left beyond the removal period.
Bidder Agreement: By registering for the auction, all bidders agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this document and any accompanying addenda. It is the bidder's responsibility to thoroughly review and understand these terms before participating in the auction.
Property Condition and Inspection: All items are sold as-is, and all sales are final. Bidders are encouraged to inspect items thoroughly before bidding. Laywell Auction Services will not be held responsible for inaccuracies in item descriptions or any errors or omissions.
Risk of Injury: Bidders acknowledge and accept the potential risks associated with participating in an auction and agree to do so at their own risk. Laywell Auction Services will not be liable for any injuries or damages that may occur during pickup or removal of items.
Removal of Items: Items may only be removed from the auction site once full payment has been made. Buyers are responsible for the packaging, removal, and transportation of purchased items. Failure to remove items during the designated pickup times may result in abandonment of the items and forfeiture of funds.
